It is my guess that Peter and Samuel are brothers, they come from the same place - Sumiswald - and marry in the same period (1795 and 1799) in Den Haag. Also they have the same profession, an inn-keeper / landlord (Dutch: tapper/ French: Aubergiste ). Samuel and Peter are witnesses to the christening of eachothers children.
