| Biography* | | The 1840 census notes that Pieter Gerber lived at location I153 (district + number) , which later became known as Smitswater 13 in Den Haag. This house was a warehouse (Dutch: pakhuis). In the census of 1840 it says that peter was a bode and ambtenaar, which is a courier or beadle and a civil servant.
In the Registre Civique his profession was landlord. I forgot to write down when the Registre Civique was composed.
