Biography* | | Robert Francis Lamping was born in Denver, but was raised on his parents' ranch near Bailey, CO in Park County. He attented Deer Creek school in Bailey graduating from High School in 1939. He enlisted in the Navy on September 23, 1942 in Denver, CO and was honorably discharged at San Diego, CA on October 4, 1945. Robert and Louella were married at Golden, CO on November 6, 1942. They celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on Sunday, November 5, 1972 at the American Legion Hall in Denver. Having held past high offices of the Carpenter's Union, Bob was a finished carpenter and cabinetmaker for 18 years when he was elected as Business Representative to the Carpenters Local #1583 for Montgomery Ward in Denver. Bob is a member of the Mason and Masonic Orders and became a Worshipful Master in December of 1974. He is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Consistory and El Jabel Shrine; a past Associate Guardian of Jobs Daughters Bethel J for 4 years; a past Chapter Dad of DeMolays for 6 years. He has also served in the Masons as: Marshal; Chaplain, Jr. & Sr; Steward; and Jr. & Sr. Deacon. In 1972 Robert and Louella were living at 4859 W. Exposition Ave., Denver, CO. |
