| Biography* | | B D from cemetary marker. Taken from " Ohio Cemetaries". Joseph and Elenore (Ellen) Hickman were of English descent. They had seven children, four of whom grew to maturity. The second son died in the Civil War. Their son, Joseph S. was the eldest living at the time of publication. (History of Hancock Co OH. Library, Findlay, Hancock, OH). Postle Cem located south .7 miles of US 40 and west 340 ft of Norton. Est. 1832. .33 Acrs. From Richard Rarey, Praire Twn, Frankin Co. O., 1-614-878-4179, Postles owned the land that the family burial plot was located. A golf course was established on the land but the cemetery was fenced in. In the 1870's someone doing Postal genealogy from Dayton removed all the Postal markers. On Mar 25, 1993 I walked the area and it is grown up in grass and weeds. There is a clump of trees where the cemetery could have been but I could find nothing else. |
