Biography* | | John never married. He was a carpenter by trade. John was recruited in Co. K 124 Penn. Vol. Inf.in Aug.1862. The regement organized at camp Curtis near Harrisburg then proceded to Washington D.C.12 Aug. 1862. On 7 Sept. they were ordered to Rockville Md. Assigned to First Brigade, First Div. of Eleventh Corps. Mustered out 9 May 1863 at Camp Acquia after nine months of required service was completed.
