Biography* | James Edward never married. Born April 25, 1952, he was a son of Faye (Davis) and the late Robert E. Lamping. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and Marycrest Business College. After numerous places of employment, Jim worked for Wilmington School District 209-U before becoming disabled. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and a member of the Wilmington Moose Lodge. Survivors include his mother, Faye, of Wilmington; two sisters, Katherine Lamping of Urbana and Helen Lamping of Wilmington; two brothers, George (Harriette Haley) Lamping of Manhattan and William (Lori) Lamping of Clifton; One sister-in-law, Barbara Lamping; two nieces and two nephews, Andrew and Sarah Lamping, Robert Lamping and Kathy (Calvin) Jordan; and a very dear friend, Melissa Mosher. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Lamping; one brother, Leo Lamping; one nephew, Clarence Allen Lamping; and his grandparents, Robert and Mae Davis and Harry and Mary Lamping. | |
