| Biography* | | Mary Neddo (the name may be a mispelling of the French Nadeau) was the daughter of a Loyalist, Louis Neddo (Nadeau?). According to family tradition, Mary, was at least half American Indian. I have heard two traditions from various branches of the family, one that she was of the Cree and another, that she was Mohawk. In 1850 she was living in Joliet, IL and it is presumed that she died there and is probably buried in St. Patrick Cemetery there. There is no proof to date for this.
