| Biography* | | Catharine lived at home till the spring of 1870, when she went to keep house for Rev. A.A.L., with whom she remained till she entered the Convent of the Sisters of Charity at Altoona, October 28, 1876. She was professed under the name of SIster Mary Ildifonse, March 25, 1879. She was then employed as a music teacher; principally in Pittsburg, till some three years ago [1896-3=1893], when she was made Mistress of Novices for the Order in the diocese, a position which she still occupies. |
