| Biography* | | John Thomas was a tinner and coppersmith, and he it was who did the tinwork on the dome of Mount. St. Mary's College, Emmitsburg, Md., because no toher person could be found in the neighborhoud who had the courage to venture so high. He was never married, but came to Armstrong county soon after the rest of the family, lived with his brother Henry at Manorvill, and worked with him at the cabinet-making trade. |
